This novella recounts the tale of Piaras Ferriter, poet, and Meg Russell, a young noble woman who was the subject of several of his romantic poems. Set in 17th century England, the book charts the heroic actions of Ferriter in his bid to rescue Russell, now the Countess Carlisle, from an unhappy marriage and return her safely to her family.
