Hörschatz One Plus
An exercise book for Junior Certificate aural and vocabulary comprehension. It contains a wide range of exercises. In recent years, increased prominence has been given to the receptive areas of language acquisition – this book is ideal for that purpose. Accompanying CDs and tapescripts can be purchased.


Hörschatz One Plus adopts a three-pronged approach to language acquisition:


Students listen to words in a communicative context.
Students then listen to words in isolation (revision unit).
All key words are arranged thematically into units at the back of the book (vocabulary).
This book prepares students for the aural part of the examination, while also giving them a wealth of vocabulary. After every four units, there is a revision section. Fourteen pages of thematically arranged vocabulary are included at the back. Constant repetition builds up the student’s knowledge, ensuring a wealth of everyday words and phrases, essential for the Junior Certificate exam and providing a solid basis for embarking on the Leaving Certificate course.
